Microsoft Office 2000 A whole lot of users today go for Microsoft Office. And for all those users Office 2000 is a very good upgrade. A new function, Windows Install, can reduce the pain somewhat by permitting the installation of a minimal set of Office functions and calling for programs from the CD as needed. Now HTML is added as a native file format with existing ones. MS Word is now the authorized web page editor. Excel imports data from data files and insert them into existing Web pages. You can create Web Pages from contacts files moreover now scheduling and appointment can be used as a group activity in an intranet thus ensuring better official communications. Access enables the SOHO businessperson to create tables and data files that facilitate the kind of ad hoc query that even the smallest business finds essential. Access has all the advantages of a first rate 4GL language. As with the other functions of Office 2000, Access and Business Tools are tightly integrated into the Web. Microsoft Office 2000 Professional Edition is not mere enhancement to earlier versions but gives really useful web features to make it all the more important to the user. |
